Abstract:
When MCI came to life in 1994, there was no way of knowing what it would become more than 25 years later, namely a University of Applied Sciences. As this development was not planned nor foreseen, we had to come up with an unconventional solution for providing library resources. That is when a cooperation agreement between the University Library and MCI started. The development of this collaboration as well as its impact on library strategy in general will be described. The advantages and disadvantages will be discussed and an outlook to future developments will be given.
